When Prayer Doesn't Seem To Work
January 31, 2021 Speaker: Jim Harris Series: Sermon on the Mount
Scripture: Matthew 6:15
I want to encourage you with some added perspective on prayer. We've learned that prayer is a great privilege and that God hears the prayers of those who are His adopted children. We can call him Father because we are now reconciled to him and clothed in the righteousness of Jesus. Consider this:
Psalm 34:17: The righteous cry, and the LORD hears And delivers them out of all their troubles.
1 Peter 5:7: . . . casting all your anxiety on Him, because He cares for you.
You know that's true. You know you can cry out to God any time, and that He knows what you need before you ask. You know that He cares for you. But you also know the experience of unanswered prayer.
