Philemon is personal. It will occupy our attention today and next Lord's day. This is one of the New Testament Postcards, the four shortest books of the New Testament. The other three are: 2 and 3 John, two personal letters from the Apostle John; and Jude.
This book is a shining example of many aspects of relationships within the body of Christ in the early church. When you understand the background of the book you'll see it's both easy to interpret and full of direct applications.
