Pray Like This (Part 2)
January 24, 2021 Speaker: Jim Harris Series: Sermon on the Mount
Scripture: Matthew 6:11–15
From this beginning of the model prayer, we learned important lessons.
Prayer is submission to God. He is in control; we are in need. His glory is to be sought; ours is to be suppressed.
Prayer is an incredible privilege. Despite the transcendence of God, prayer allows us to beseech the Almighty.
Prayer reminds us our citizenship is not of this world. Our allegiance is the kingdom yet to come and to the King who purchased our redemption.
Prayer allows us to align our wills with God's will. We declare our dependency upon His grace. Prayer is a means God uses to give us what He wants.
